Bachelorette Party Planning Tips for Summer

July 23, 2008 by

Trends for 2008 Include ‘Green Girl’ and Same-Sex Marriage Pre-Wedding Parties. The new same-sex marriage legislation in California is boosting the wedding industry by billions of dollars, introducing thousands of new bachelorettes to the wedding scene. Also, with gasoline costs skyrocketing, all eyes are focusing on conservation, even those of brides-to-be.

With wedding season upon us, the “Lucille Ball of bachelorette party planning,” comedienne and CEO of Bride’s Night Out(R), Pamela Yager, says the top trends for this season include 8/8/08 affairs, destination weddings to the newly legitimized same-sex nuptial state of California, and “green girls” nights out.

For 2008 weddings, Yager suggests doing 8 of everything: table seating for 8, invites in the 8 infinity shape, 8 attendants, 8 diamonds in a wedding ring, 8 flowers in each bouquet, 8 toasts, and an 8 piece band.

“Last year, 7/7/07 was the biggest wedding day of the year — I threw 7 pre-wedding parties leading to my big day!” says the saucy auburn coiffed Yager.

“Gay couples are arriving in droves to tie the knot here,” Yager continues. “This legislation stands to add $700 million to the California wedding industry and an increase of almost $65 million to the Sunshine state over the next few years!”

Tips for same-sex pre-wedding parties include:
* Complementary but separate bachelor(ette) parties,
* Using “gay pride” rainbow-colored invitations,
* Offering the non-wedding gift option of donations to GLAD (Gay and  Lesbian Advocates and Defenders), and
* Sending thank you notes to the California Supreme Court for its support.

Keeping in step with the need for conservation, Bride’s Night Out offers “green girl” parties, including carpooling services and pedestrian pub crawls, emailed invites, organic catering options, and a donation in-lieu of bachelorette gift with globalgreen.org.

The “Sex in the City of Hen Parties,” Bride’s Night Out (http://www.bridesnightout.com) is the nation’s first and only bachelorette party planning service of its kind and was founded by stand-up comedienne Pamela Yager.

Bride’s Night Out features a lucrative consultant career program for anyone wishing to become a bachelorette party planner, and wedding industry professionals can add BNO to their list of products and services for added income. Most of all, a rockin’ good time is offered for the 2.4 million brides headed to the altar every year.
