DSW Inc. and Step Up Women’s Network Present Step Up & Step Out

COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 23 /FashionNews/ — DSW Shoes is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Step Up Women’s Network on a philanthropic New York City event on September 26, 2009. DSW Presents: Step Up & Step Out is a designer shoe sale for the mind, body and sole.

DSW Presents: Step Up & Step Out will feature over 2,000 pairs of designer donated shoes sold at 50-70% off retail prices, with proceeds supporting Step Up’s charitable programs designed to empower women and underserved teen girls. The event will begin with a Champagne Preview Brunch and an award presentation for top supporters and New York’s elite. All festivities will take place at W New York, an oasis among the skyscrapers of Lexington Avenue.

“DSW is thrilled to partner with Step Up Women’s Network to improve the lives of women and girls,” DSW Vice Chairperson Debbie Ferree said.

“Coming on the heels of New York Fashion Week, ‘DSW Presents: Step Up & Step Out’ is sure to be a style destination this fall,” DSW Style Expert and Step Up advocate Bobbie Thomas said. “With over 2,000 pair of shoes under one roof, along with countless interactive lounges, there will truly be something for everyone.”

Joining Thomas on the event host committee are fashion notables Taryn Rose, Florence Azria, Monica Botkier, Meghan Cleary and others. A celebrity chair and emcee will also be announced.

The signature event marks a new annual fundraiser format for Step Up Women’s Network, the national, nonprofit membership organization with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Event updates, including information on how to participate in DSW Presents: Step Up & Step Out, will be available throughout the summer at www.suwn.org.
