Tips on How to Dress for a Casino Night
May 7, 2012 by admin
So you and your friends have decided to have a night out on the casino? Have you decided what you are going to wear? If not, it is a good thing you stopped here before you went. Today, we are going to give you a few tips on how to dress for casino night.
First, you need to decide what type of image that you want to portray when you go to the casino. Do you want to come off as a tourist that is just there to have a little fun or do you want to give off the image that you’re a blackjack high roller?
If you are looking for more of the high roller image, there is nothing that speak money better than a sleek suit or even a tuxedo. It does not have to be a high end Armani suit or high dollar tux rental. The basic black and white will do. Lean towards a regular tie over a bowtie. This isn’t Casino Royale and there is no reason to try and pass yourself off as James Bond.
Ladies, I am going to give you a couple tips of what not to do when getting ready for a casino night. First, if you plan to dress up for the evening, lean more towards elegant over hoochie. The reason I say this is that casinos are well known as hunting grounds for working girls. Those that show up looking like their outfits were painted on are going to usually be heavily watched by security.
However, if you are a lady that shows up in a nice evening gown or party dress that is not squeezed on, chances are that you will turn heads for all the right reasons. Also, less is more with the makeup at the casino. Also, stick to nice looking costume jewelry over the real McCoy for safety reasons.
Finally, this tip applies for both men and women. Whatever style of dress you use, please think about your feet and wear nice but comfortable shoes. Don’t squeeze yourself into heels that kill your feet ladies. You will be doing a ton of walking and there is no reason to do that for yourself. Guys, the same applies to you. Buy some sleep looking dress slippers and avoid the fancy dress shoes. Your feet will thank you.
Hopefully some of the above tips will help you get ready for your trip to the casino. Of course, if you would rather skip the headache of figuring out what to wear, you could always play at internet casinos and skip the live scene. Whatever you do, dress smartly and play only with money you can afford to lose. Good luck at the tables.
