Fashion Tips For Your Kids Bedroom
August 25, 2012 by admin
Your children’s bedrooms will be a big part of their childhood. In addition to this, children have many fears most especially those associated to being alone in the bedroom. However, they won’t learn to face their fears and become independent if you keep on letting them crash on the master’s bedroom. Thus, it is essential that you make your kids’ bedroom as comfortable, fashionable and child friendly as it can be. Here are some tips on how you could do that.
Tip # 1: Include the Bed in the Whole Room’s Theme
More often than not, parents fail to include the bed as part of the theme for every room. Most little girls would like to have princess rooms or anything that has pink! Make sure that the bed is pink as well. There are many beds out there that your little princesses would love like Dora the Explorer beds or pink carriage beds. For boys, there are drag racer kids’ car beds that will look good with their Cars collection. Make sure to include your child in the shopping process so they can choose.
Tip # 2: Include a Desk
You want your child to learn how to organize their things. If they don’t have their own desk, they will end up scattering all their things all over the house. There are many multi-purpose desks out there that you can buy for your child. Most of them have drawers for pencils and other school supplies along with bookshelves and a space to draw and write. With having their own desks, they will also develop the love for studying and doing their homework.
Tip # 3: Paint the Room
Go all out! Paint the whole room as well. If you want pink, go 100% pink. Just make sure that you choose the shade correctly. Often times, people would base it on how the paint looks like. When they paint it on the wall of the room, it looks totally different. One of the best ways is to canvass for painted wall samples in paint shops and choose from there.
Tip # 4: Add Accessories
Accessories are essential. You don’t want a room to be plain most especially if it is a kids’ bedroom. As much as possible, feed their imagination with lots of decoration in the room. Start with wall stickers. There are thousands to choose from. It will also be fun to let your child choose what she wants as a décor. In addition to this, there are night lamps for children as well. Over the past few years, many parents prefer led lamps because they are the most pleasing to the eyes. There are many led lamps custom made for kids. Place coat stands on their door as well. This will teach them to fix their things upon arriving at home. Don’t forget the wall clocks as well.
Decorating your kids beds is a lot of fun! Make sure you include them in the process. This is something that they will remember for the rest of their life. It will also teach them values on being independent and on taking care of their own valuables.
